One Single Prayer

One single prayer from a broken heart is worth more than

the most articulate sermon, as the shattered reaches

into the heavens for some hope, and a reason

to believe, looking even beyond the scars

being washed

with wholeness.

The Heavens Declare the Glory of God

20170916_124217 (1)

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,

their words to the ends of the world…….

Psalm 19: 1 – 4a

Have you ever noticed how the sky has no limits, and covers the earth in an unlimited and beautiful way? I think we all have. Sometimes it’s called the expanse. No matter the time of day or night, the beauty of the sky can be clearly seen somewhere on our planet.

And here God says the magnificent sky is a sign to us. The sky is indeed a declaration to the magnificence, the very glory of God! The sky declares that God made everything, and knows everything! Hallelujah!

What I love about these verses too is that the sky speaks volumes and yet says no words. So cool! Sometimes the silence within the beauty of nature, can say more spiritually than any words, even more than a beautiful poem!

H’mmm it makes a blogger think, maybe they should place the word “sky”, or “skies” in the title of their blog! 😊 Hallelujah!

Heavenly Father thank you for the beauty of nature, and in particular, the magnificence of the sky. Help us to worship You, including as we look up and dwell on all that You have made! Speak to us in the silence.

Amen and amen.

quote from the NIV Bible

No Heroes

When the door is finally closed, and the end of all things is completed,

there will be no heroes in heaven, only average Joes and Marys,

like you and I, those that loved God, and their neighbor.

It’s that simple, truly it is.
